CLXXXVII.

Where have I been these days?! I'm super busy, but I'm opting a daily break for the sake of the blog. I'm still trucking along in my etching class, though I have yet to post my progress as promised. (I'll get on that soon.) Speaking of which, yesterday, our class met Dean Dass, printmaking professor from UVA. He was picking up his work from his last show here, and I highly recommend that you Google him. On another note, I don't know how I missed the No. 21 and Cynthia Rowley Fall 2010 collections, but they are absolutely stunning:

Today I'll be posting my favorites from the Met. Note: I only had three hours to explore so there are places, paintings, and installations I wish I could have seen. Meanwhile, these make me smile:

So I'm officially back from my New York trip and I took 350+ photos so I'm deciding to post only a few of my all-time favorites. Today features a classic NYC building shot and my best from MoMA:

CLXXXIII.

I received a lovely little present on my door today from my secret senior regarding my to-be list for the always-hilarious-and-exciting Junior Week here at the Briar. My senior has picked some incredible themes for me, which I'll share as the days progress. I can't wait to get started!

Isn't it beautiful?!

Ashley,

Do not worry-don't fret a wink,
Junior Week is closer than you think,
Nocturnal deliveries will appear at your door,
To reveal for each day what is in store.
These props will assist you and will never be vile,
As your costumes are meant to only beguile.

Over Spring Break gather your clothes,
As you will need to dress yourself from your head to your toes,
Accessories only I will provide,
Unless a specific look is what I have in mind.

And each night a clue or a hint I will betray,
No condom, ho, or pimp, will you portray,
Free free to augment my props at your whim,
Be creative, inventive, go out on a limb!

-Guess Who

Um, my senior is amazing. I am SO PUMPED.
