CLXXXV.

Today I'll be posting my favorites from the Met. Note: I only had three hours to explore so there are places, paintings, and installations I wish I could have seen. Meanwhile, these make me smile:

CLXXXIV.

So I'm officially back from my New York trip and I took 350+ photos so I'm deciding to post only a few of my all-time favorites. Today features a classic NYC building shot and my best from MoMA:

I would really like to take a trip to Charlottesville, VA in the near future for these reasons:

CXXXV.

I am thrilled to take a trip to Carytown in Richmond soon. It has been a few years so I've been dying to visit Pink, American Apparel, Need Supply, Eurotrash, and Bygones. The awesome thing about Bygones is that it was recommended in a book I got for Christmas called The Little Guide to Vintage Shopping by Melody Fortier.

I also love these photos from the Bygones website:

CXV.

I am officially traveling to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for an entire week with my mom in January. As far as Florida travels, I have only been to Disney World, Jacksonville, and Fort Myers so I am pretty excited. I have been coming up with things to do instead of lying around sunburning my skin every hour of every day. I will probably be visiting the Museum of Art at Fort Lauderdale the very first day. They have a Norman Rockwell exhibition going on until early February so I cannot wait to see that. Also on display are some Barbara Kruger prints and supposedly some... Banksy sculptures? Not sure how that is possible, but I am excited nonetheless.

Drop me a line if you know of some awesome go-to places.

IC.

Today, I'm officially submitting my deposit for a trip to New York City this Spring Break. It'll be my first, and hopefully not last, time in the Big Apple. I've been told loads of times that I'll love it there, and perhaps I will. A city full of crazies sounds like my kind of shebang. I'll be staying in the Gershwin Hotel, a two star, super artsy boutique hotel in the Flatiron District. I'll be sure to take looooads of pictures, and blog about the trip. My group and I will apparently be nonstop attending dance company performances (Paul Taylor Dance Company, Sarah Skaggs Dance Company), theatre productions (Cirque du Soleil: Banana Shpeel), a tour of the Baryshnikov Arts Center, a tour the permanent collection at the MoMA, and much more. It should be a very cool experience.
