CCCXII.

Have you heard of Christopher Stott? His paintings are incredible! My dad just bought Vintage Swedish Telephone (just below) recently and I cannot wait to hang it. Check out his website here.

CCCXI.

I have been such a busy bee lately, and this time I really mean it. First off, I've been accepted into the Exhibition Design program at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in DC. Yaaay!

I cannot wait to get started and finally have a consistent schedule again. Second, because I've been accepted, I'm trying to find an affordable place to live without fearing for my life on a regular basis. Third, I'm banking on not having much of a social life because I'll be a full time student and working on my fellowship so I'm taking advantage of my down time and traveling. I just got back from visiting friends in beautiful sunny Florida and I'm so excited that warm weather has finally arrived in VB. The next stop is Blacksburg, then Richmond, then Lynchburg, then Turks and Caicos, then Wisconsin, then Chicago, and then finally DC. Meanwhile, I'm still a gallery assistant at the North End. Such a mouthful!

And now, my latest obsession... Florals!!

CCCX.

Greetings from... home! It is my first night back from Las Vegas, and it was certainly an eventful trip. To give you a taste of the glamour, I've comprised a gorgeous list of goodies that send my heart afloat:

 Chloe

 Anya Hindmarch

Alexander McQueen

Robert Rodriguez

 YSL

 Claire Vivier

 DVF

 Milly

I have a strong feeling that this dress will be the dress of the season. My only issue is that the patterns don't line up, and it's quite distracting. I would have bought it too! I might cave in and buy it just to spite myself.

Richard MacDonald's sculpture gallery was stunning and located right next to the Chihuly Gallery next to the Aria Hotel.

This Henry Moore sculpture gave me goosebumps every time I walked by. There are loads of examples of fantastic contemporary art including a gorgeous Maya Lin sculpture in the lobby of the Aria, a Nancy Rubins installation featuring hundreds of kayaks and outdoor equipment, and a Jenny Holzer installation in the underground valet. The Aria is a contemporary art nerd's dream come true.

CCCIX.

Where have I been lately, you ask? Well, I've been:
1. Working part-time at a local gallery
2. Running every other day (dying is more like it)
3. Planning an upcoming trip to Vegas
4. Slaving over new ideas in the studio
5. Reading like a fiend (just finished Book One of the Hunger Games, and I'm halfway through the second already, omggg)
6. 'Pinning' all day everyday (yes, you should follow me!)
AND
7. Freaking out about my graduate school application, BUT I finally submitted it this morning. Que sigh of relief.

In short, I haven't been that busy. I've just been too uninspired to post anything since I've divorced myself from Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and BHLDN. They're so mainstream now I feel they've lost their mysteriousness and quality, and have made a killing on profit. The prices are just unreasonable. As for my rebound, I have professed my love to TJMaxx and Marshall's. You seriously can't beat the prices if you have the patience. I've been scoring Thoery, Michael Kors, Vivienne Tam, and Tahari goodies like a champ. A few months ago, I even got to hold and feel a $1,200 black Celine handbag that goes for about $2,400 retail. Unheard of.

Now for some imaginary retail therapy from my favorite online store. My Shopbop picks for this awkward in-between season:

CCCVIII.

I apologize for not posting on this thing as often as I should. My time has been preoccupied with writing cover letters, my AutoCAD course, finishing my grad school application and Pinterest. Yes, Pinterest. I've described it once as the internet equivalent of crack, and I'll do it again.. It's the internet equivalent of crack. Take my word for it. While thumbing through my pins, you find out a lot about my personal taste and uninteresting one-word adjectives I use to describe things (beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, etc.) so I recommend you check it out. I'm trying to figure out a way I can maintain this blog as well my Pinterest so there's no overlap unlike many other blogs. I'll keep you posted if I'm not too busy 'pinning.'

Warning: Completely going against my last statement..

I've discovered interesting accessory making tutorials while on, you guessed it, Pinterest. I've taken the liberty of saving the following photos in a DIY folder, and other jewelry sites to revisit later when I'm in the mood to veg. As someone who hasn't touched friendship bracelets nor beads since I was eight, getting back into it is kind of nostaglic and fun.
